SAARC Art is the annual magazine dedicated to promote the and showcase a vibrant tapestry of artistic expression of the SAARC Region. This magazine was conceived in the year 2014 as a visual platform to understand the concept of ‘Art’ through a wide range of perspectives. SAARC Art Magazine focuses not only on the traditional notion of art but also on the contemporary expressions of art and culture that permeate all aspects of contemporary South Asian life.
The magazine intends to project the culturally rich and artistically diverse traditions of the SAARC Region, and it is widely disseminated as an online publication and a hard copy. SAARC Art Magazine also serves as a platform for many skilful personalities and participants of the SAARC Cultural Centre’s events, such as artist camps, film festivals, cultural events, conferences and workshops to showcase their work, views, and opinions.
The forthcoming issue of the SAARC Art Magazine invites submissions of original articles encompassing a wide range of topics within the South Asian arts, including but not limited to film, theatre, folk art, music, photography, painting, printmaking, textiles, sculpture, mixed media, and
digital art. In an attempt to offer new perspectives on a wide range of topics and redefine boundaries of South Asian culture, interviews with artists and filmmakers, opinion pieces, photo essays, briefs on cultural heritages and all aspects covering South Asian culture by both established and emerging practitioners are welcome for the 2025 issue of the SAARC Magazine.
