Celebrations of the 53rd Independence Day of Bangladesh

The Bangladesh High Commission in Sri Lanka celebrated its 53^rd Independence Day at the Shangrila Hotel on Tuesday, 26^th March 2024.  Hon. Bandula Gunawardana, Minister of Transport, Highway and Mass Media attended this occasion as the Chief Guest.  Hon. Susil Premajayantha Minister of Education and Leader of the House of Parliament, Hon. M.U.M. Ali Sabry Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Mahinda Amaraweera Minister of Agriculture and Plantation Industries, Members of Parliament in Sri Lanka, H.E. Santosh Jha High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka, H.E. Bashu Dev Mishra Ambassador of Nepal to Sri Lanka and other Diplomats in Sri Lanka graced this occasion.  Director of the SAARC Cultural Centre Ms. Renuka Ekanayake, Deputy Directors Ms. Bindu Urugodawatte and Dr. Bina Gandhi Deori also participated, strengthening the links between the SAARC Cultural Centre and the Bangladesh High Commission in Sri Lanka.
