A meeting was held on 29th January 2024 at No. 224, Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 07, to discuss the possibilities of a permanent premises for the SAARC Cultural Centre. This meeting was chaired by Mr. Somarathne Vidanapathirana Secretary of the Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs. The officers present at this meeting were Mr. Tilak Hettiarachchi Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Ms. O. Wimalaratne Additional Secretary (Administration) Ministry of Media, Ms. T.P. Dharmasena Director General SAARC Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Renuka Ekanayake Director SAARC Cultural Centre, Dr. Prasad Ranasinghe Director (Cultural Promotion) of the Ministry of Culture, Mr. Ravi Kalupahana General Manager of the Film Corporation, Ms. Diana Perera Assistant Director of the SAARC Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Mr. Asanka Goonethilake Administrative Officer of the National Film Corporation.
