The SAARC Cultural Centre will be screening the award-winning movie “Poorna” at the Moon Bastion of the World Heritage City of Galle on 5th April 2024 at 8:30 pm. Poorna is based on the true story of Malavath Poorna the youngest female to climb Mount Everest. This movie is a portrayal of hard work, breaking barriers, facing challenges, bravery and changing your life.
Poorna is directed by Rahul Bose and won SAARC Award for Best Screen Play at the SAARC Film Festival in Colombo, Sri Lanka in 2018.
