An Event organized by the SAARC Cultural Centre in Collaboration with the Sri Lanka National Film Corporation
The SAARC Film Day is revived once again at the request of film enthusiasts and will be held every quarter. The Film Day will commence on 25th August 2023 with the screening of “Haldaa” an award-winning movie from Bangladesh which won the awards for Best Feature Film, Best Editor, Best Cinematography and Best Original Score at the SAARC Film Festival in 2018.
The Director of the Tauqir Ahmed will join the audience online at the end of the movie for a discussion. H.E. Tareq Md Ariful Islam High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Sri Lanka will grace this occasion as the Chief Guest.
Date: 25th August 2023
Time: 2:30 pm onwards
Venue: National Film Corporation Cinema Hall (Tharanganee Theatre), No. 303, Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 07.
Admission will be free on a first come first serve basis.
