SAARC Special Lecture by Dr. Anamika Biswas

SAARC Cultural Centre in collaboration with the National Library of Sri Lanka organized a lecture by Dr. Anamika Biswas, Consultant, Sustainable Heritage Development and Guest Professor, NIFT, Delhi on 25th October 2023, 10:30 am at the Auditorium, National Library of Sri Lanka on hybrid mode.

The lecture was titled “World Heritage Sites and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals” and attended by Prof. Nanda Dharmaratne, Chairman, National Library and Documentation Services Board, Prof. Ankuran Dutta, Director, Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (SVCC) representing High Commissioner of India, Mr. Adeel Sattar, Press, Cultural & Education Attache, High Commission of Pakistan, Ms. Diana Perera, Assistant Director, SAARC, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sri Lanka, Mr Ni Lisheng, Deputy Director, Chinese Cultural Centre and other distinguished guests.

The session started with the welcome address by Ms. Renuka Ekanayake, Director, SAARC Cultural Centre followed by the speech delivered by Ms. Padma Bandaranayake, Director, National Library of Sri Lanka. Ms. Bindu Urugodawatte, Deputy Director-Programme, SAARC Cultural Centre introduced the speaker to the audience followed by the vote of thanks by Dr. Bina Gandhi Deori, Deputy Director-Research, SAARC Cultural Centre.
