SAARC Special Lecture by Ms. Ashwini Natesan

The Sixth Session of the SAARC Special Lecture (Virtual Mode) titled ‘Digital Renaissance: How Technology is Reshaping Culture’ was held on (Monday), 9th December 2024, 3:00 pm (Sri Lanka Standard Time) at the SAARC Cultural Centre (SCC), Sri Lanka. The speaker of the SAARC Special Lecture Series was Ms. Ashwini Natesan, Legal Consultant and Researcher Tech, Media and Telecommunications Law at Julius and Creasy, one of Sri Lanka’s oldest law firms, and Research Fellow at LIRNEasia, focusing on data protection, Artificial Intelligence (AI) policy, and social media regulation. The speaker discussed Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) and explained how immersive technologies can transcend geographical barriers, allowing users from around the world to experience SAARC’s rich cultural heritage.
