Second Session of the SAARC Talk Series 2025

The second session of the SAARC Talk Series 2025 was held on 25th April (Friday) 2025, 3:00 pm (Sri Lanka Standard Time) at the SAARC Cultural Centre (SCC), Sri Lanka. The speaker of the second SAARC Talk Series 2025 was Prof. Thakur S Powdyel,Former Minister of Education, Royal Government of Bhutan.
Prof. Powdyel delivered a talk titled Our SAARC Universities: Re-claiming the Soul of Their Role.

In his talk, Prof. Powdyel reflected on South Asia’s great intellectual heritage and made an attempt to reflect on the need for our elevated temples of learning to harmonise their everyday role with the higher call of their soul or their foundational dreams.
