The sixth session of the SAARC Talk Series 2025 (Virtual Mode) was held on 12th November 2025 (Wednesday) at 3:00 pm (Sri Lanka Standard Time) at the SAARC Cultural Centre (SCC), Sri Lanka. The speaker of the sixth SAARC Talk Series 2025 was Intsab Sahi, Assistant Editor, The News on Sunday, Pakistan. The lecture titled Oral Storytelling as a Method for Preserving Urdu’s Cultural, Linguistic, and Literary Heritage.
The lecture provided a comprehensive exploration of the importance of the oral storytelling tradition as a method for preserving Urdu’s cultural, linguistic, and literary heritage. It raised awareness regarding the importance of preserving the Urdu language, and language traditions in general, and the possibility of returning to heritage as a tool of preservation.
